Cerebrovascular Research Center
The focus of the Cerebrovascular Research Center is the investigation of cellular and integrative mechanisms involved in the regulation of the cerebral circulation during both physiological and pathophysiological states (stroke and traumatic brain injury). We utilize both in vitro (isolated perfused cerebral vessels) and in vivo (cranial window) approaches to pursue our objectives.
Our research is funded by grants from the National Institute of Health (where we rank in the top third of all programs for NIH funding) and the American Heart Association.
We also offer graduate level training in Cardiovascular Sciences and Molecular Physiology and Biophysics.
