Dear Members of the Baylor College of Medicine Community,
Baylor College of Medicine is temporarily suspending all College-sponsored international travel effective at 12:01 a.m. Friday, March 6, in response to the COVID-19 virus. This includes all international travel for faculty, staff, residents, fellows and students. This suspension also applies to students scheduled to come from other countries to our campus. We are constantly monitoring the Coronavirus situation and changes to this travel suspension may occur. We will keep you informed as decisions are made, and will revisit the restriction as needed.
Many of you may have personal international travel plans. If you travel to a CDC-designated level 2 or 3 country (level 3 – Mainland China, South Korea, Iran and Italy; level 2 – Japan) for personal reasons, you may not return to work for a 14-day period from the time of re-entry to the U.S.
If you have questions concerning planned business or academic travel, please send an email to email@example.com. Your questions will be sent to the appropriate person for a response.
Baylor College of Medicine is taking a leadership position in response to the Coronavirus. Our researchers and clinicians are on the forefront of this important health issue, and I recommend that you stay informed by checking the BCM Coronavirus website frequently, and reading all messages that are emailed to you from College leadership.
