Dear Members of the Baylor College of Medicine Community,
The Houston area has begun to show improved results in the COVID pandemic from public attention to masking and social distancing. However, it is still too soon to open schools. In this week’s video, I talk about the three data points to watch to determine when schools can open safely. Also, this week features an interview with the first chair of our new Department of Education, Technology and Innovation, Dr. Nancy Moreno, and includes how Baylor is helping with online curriculum for students.
The recent terrible explosion in Beirut was devastating for the city and the country. Many members of the Baylor community have family and friends in Beirut who have been impacted by the disaster. Baylor has had a strong relationship with the American University of Beirut Medical Center. The medical center has set up a donation page for those who are able to help as has the Lebanese Red Cross.
Thank you for all that you do for Baylor College of Medicine.
