Dear Members of the Baylor College of Medicine Community,
It is time for another Q&A session. In this week’s video, I respond to questions on a number of different COVID-19 topics; from the role of natural immunity and early diagnosis to the changing Omicron variants.
Boosters, vaccinations and masks continue to produce a variety of questions. One question was someone wondering when those relatives and friends who refused to get vaccinated can be welcomed back into the fold. The truth is they put you at risk as long as there is virus in the community and that is going to be for a long time. The best thing you can do is try to convince them to get vaccinated. Remember in an earlier video we talked about how “nudging” does have an effect in influencing others to get vaccinated.
We will do another Q&A in a few weeks, so keep sending your questions to president@bcm.edu.
Hope you have a great weekend. See you next week.
