Effect of Positive Airway Pressure on Reducing Airway Reactivity in Patients with Asthma (CPAP) Study (H-31276)
The Asthma Clinical Research Center at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital is currently recruiting volunteers (Adults and Teenagers 15 years and older) for an asthma study. The study is called CPAP. It is testing the use of a CPAP breathing machine with nasal mask during sleep on airway function in people who are in good asthma control.
You may be eligible for this study if:
-You have a diagnosis of asthma and are in good asthma control
-You are 15 years of age or older with NO known sleep disorder being treated or prior use of CPAP machine
You will receive free use of the study equipment, free lung function testing and you will be compensated for your time and parking.
This study is being conducted by the American Lung Association Asthma Clinical Research Network and is funded by the National Institutes of Health.
