Lateralization of Language and Memory by Brain Imaging in Children With Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (H-28722)
The research study is about the impact of epilepsy on language and memory. To understand how epilepsy affects language and memory we want to compare children with epilepsy to those who have never had epilepsy. We are seeking English-speaking children and teens 10-18 years old, who have never had a head injury, to serve as healthy controls for the study. Children must have their parent’s permission to take part in the study. Participants in the study will undergo one assessment of language and memory and an MRI. Financial compensation provided.
