Texas Alzheimer's Research and Care Consortium (TARCC) (H-22404)

Description: The purpose of this study is to learn more about Alzheimer's disease by combining efforts of several institutions across the State of Texas. The current research project is simultaneously evaluating the role of genetics, inflammation, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders as risk factors in order to better understand the causes, presentation and treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Eligibility: Men and women over 50 years of age who have Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment. Healthy and cognitively normal people who have no blood relationship to other participants in the study are also being recruited. Participants must be willing to come for annual evaluations and undergo all test procedures.
