CTEHR Pilot Project Program
The Center for Translational Environmental Health Research Pilot Project Program is soliciting applications for Pilot Project proposals in anticipation of funding five-six projects up to $50,000, based on $25,000 CTEHR support and potential matching funds from the applicants' college or department.
The major objective for this round of Pilot Projects is to provide financial support for applications with strong environmental health significance and the potential to obtain RO1/R21 NIEHS funding within two to three years. Submission of proposals aligned with the center’s mission and thematic focus areas impacting human environmental health (i.e., early life exposures, the microbiome, chronic disease, metabolism, and enabling technologies) are encouraged. Applicants must submit a letter of intent, which briefly outlines the project (one page limit) by 5 p.m. on Aug. 31, 2016. Invitations for full proposals will be sent to applicants by Sept. 7, 2016 with full applications due by Sept. 30, 2016. All proposals will be reviewed and scored externally via members of the P30 Pilot Grant Reviewer Consortium. It is anticipated that funding decisions will be made in November 2016.
