More Information
A Patchwork of Life: One Woman’s Story assists women diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in making informed decisions about their surgical treatment options (breast conserving surgery with radiation or mastectomy). A Patchwork of Life is a patient decision aid that educates women about making this important treatment decision. Patients find information included in decision aids very helpful in making treatment decisions with their doctors. A Patchwork of Life includes a combination of soap opera segments and interactive learning modules with factual information to deliver the content.
A Patchwork of Life was developed by the Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at Baylor College of Medicine with guidance from an Expert Content Panel from medical institutions who are experts in breast cancer treatment and medical decision making.
