Now that you have accepted your offer of employment with Baylor College of Medicine, please review the information below. This will provide you with everything you need to know so that you are prepared for your first day and New Employee Orientation.
Be sure you have completed the following forms and remember to bring them with you on your first day.
1. Completed Form I-9 and Identification
For assistance, please contact Employee Records.
**If you are a non-U.S. Citizen and do not have a U.S. Social Security Number and/or I-94 Number, or you are unable to locate your I-94 number, please do not complete this form until you meet with the International Services Office on your first day of employment**
You are required to supply original identification when you arrive on your first day of employment. Employees must present either one form from List A or one form from List B in combination with one form from List C. You will have three days after submitting your Form I-9 to provide identification should you be unable to on your first day.
2. Dependent Verification Documents
If you would like to include children or dependents on your benefits plans, you will need to bring copies of your dependent verification documents (e.g. birth certificate, marriage certificate).

3. Vaccination Records
Your vaccination records will be reviewed by the Occupational Health Program. OHP will review all of your information during your visit. Please review the General Information for New Employees page for more information.
4. Complete Online Trainings
Although this is not a requirement, you can complete your online trainings before you arrive for your first day of work if you desire. Please watch your email inbox for an invitation to join our Learning Management System. Your username for our learning system will be the same as for your new hire paperwork, but you must create a password. Your new password for our learning system can be the same password that you used for your new hire paperwork.
All paid employees start their first day of work by visiting Human Resources for new employee orientation. Non-paid employees, with the exclusion of Non-U.S. Citizens, do not report to Human Resources first but instead should contact his or her direct supervisor for more information regarding their orientation process. Information for all non-U.S. citizens (permanent residents/green card holders, pending immigrants, and non-immigrant visa-holders) can be found by contacting the International Services Office. If you are a non-U.S. citizen, please contact the International Services Office before your start date to verify immigration status.
When you arrive for orientation, be prepared to spend two to three hours processing your new employee paperwork and checking in with various departments. Baylor College of Medicine provides free shuttle service in case you have to travel between Baylor College of Medicine buildings.
Be sure to check your e-mail prior to reporting to orientation for updates including where you should report and the time you will report.
