Coronavirus Information

Use of gloves

A reminder to the Baylor community that wearing medical gloves outside of the research and clinical care environments, including in corridors, eating areas, bathrooms, elevators or hallways, is prohibited. This does not apply to glove-wearing in clinical or research settings where PPE is required. This is in accordance with CDC advice regarding gloves. Contaminated gloves are no safer than contaminated hands; instead, perform regular hand-washing and use alcohol-based hand sanitizers with greater than 60% ethanol or 70% isopropanol.
