Anyone can experience unhealthy or abusive relationship. Individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender who experience abusive relationships may face unique barriers that hinder their ability to seek help, such as limited support resources, fear of isolation from their community or the risk of being outed or outing their partner. In addition, men who experience physical violence from their partner or spouse may not report abuse or seek help due to social perceptions of masculinity. Need Help?
