Diversity and Inclusion Week is an annual celebration of diversity, inclusion and equity at Baylor. The week features exhibits, speakers, interactive activities, service projects and other activities. This year Diversity and Inclusion Week will run from Monday, Oct. 1 through Friday, Oct. 5.
College-Wide Community Service Project
Snack Packs for the Homeless
From Monday, Sept. 24 through Thursday, Oct. 4, Baylor College of Medicine will be conducting a donation drive and service project focused on members of Houston’s homeless community. The entire Baylor community is invited to come help assemble the snack packs in Rayzor Lounge, Main Baylor from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 5. Tuesday, Oct. 2: Diversity Week Kick-Off Ice Cream Social hosted by Association for Graduate Student Diversity and other student organization leaders and the Office of Institutional Diversity, Inclusion and Equity Office from noon to 1 p.m. in the Alkek Lobby, Main Baylor.
Thursday, Oct. 4: A Compassionate Conversation on Poverty and Homelessness in the Greater Houston Area, featuring speakers Ruth Buzi, Ph.D., MSW, LCSW; Naomi Lee McCants, M.D.; Fareed Mahmood Khan, M.D.; Kenya Steele, M.D.; and Harish Eswaran from Noon-1 p.m. in Cullen Auditorium.
