Visiting Student Clerkships
Many LCME accredited medical schools, like Baylor College of Medicine, are committed to improving the pipeline of physicians and health professionals to help serve our diverse communities. Some of these schools offer visiting clerkship for fourth year medical students who come from diverse populations that are underrepresented in medicine.
These visiting rotations usually include a stipend, financial assistance for housing, and the unique opportunity to (a) participate in clinical education and research associated with the unique health issues of diverse patient populations in a range of specialties; (b) expand your network and receive dedicated mentorship from expert faculty; and (c) explore the host school's residency programs and geographic location.

Visiting Rotations for Residents and Fellows
Some ACGME-accredited academic medical centers have created visiting rotations to help attract underrepresented in medicine residents and fellows who might be interested in a career in academic medicine or private practice in the geographic area following completion of their training. Visiting rotations are generally subject to approval from your BCM residency program's program director.
