Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) are used for the transfer of biological materials between entities. If the entity you wish to transfer materials to is an academic institution on the list of Universal Biological Material Transfer Agreement (UBMTA) Signatories, you may use our UBMTA implementing letter template for the transfer.

If the institution is not on the list, please use our full MTA template.

MTA Share - An Automated MTA Process with Selected Academic Institutions

Recently, Baylor College of Medicine signed up to use the MTA Share program developed by Vanderbilt University. This program will allow for the full automation of transfers between academic institutions. Currently the following institutions are participating and growth is anticipated.

If the institution you are transferring materials to is on the following list of participating institutions, please use this link to initiate the MTA process.
