Resident-Alumni Connection Program

Master
Content

The Resident-Alumni Connection Program provides graduating Baylor College of Medicine Medical School students with M.D. alumni contacts in the location where they match for internship or residency. Alumni serve as friendly faces and professional resources to help their young colleagues navigate the challenging years of graduate medical education.

Following Match Day, Alumni Affairs determines relevant connections between participating students and alumni in the cities or states where they match. Both parties receive each others' contact information. Either resident or mentor may reach out to establish a relationship, which may be formal or informal as long as the arrangement is mutually agreed upon. If for any reason a resident-mentor relationship does not work out, Alumni Affairs will work to help find a better fit.
