The Department of Pathology & Immunology offers a wide range of clinical and anatomic pathology services, including interpretation of biopsy samples, review of samples obtained at other facilities and hospitals, laboratory studies, and a wide variety of laboratory tests. (Note clinical pathology is the service that handles most blood, urine, toxicology and infectious disease tests, as well as blood banking and transfusion, while anatomic pathology includes autopsy pathology, surgical pathology and cytopathology.)
