A Leading Center of Discovery
Research activity in the Scott Department of Urology is expanding rapidly, as it is in Baylor College of Medicine. The major portion of research support comes from external funding agencies such as the National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Defense, Cap CURE, and private industry.
Opportunites exist for individuals and corporations to support our research efforts.
The basic laboratory research is focused principally in the areas of gene therapy, oncology, molecular and cell biology of the prostate, male reproductive biology, and neurophysiology of the bladder.
