Scott Department of Urology: Where the Patient Comes First
Urologists, oncologists and pathologists in the department diagnose and treat conditions in both children and adults. Areas of expertise include:
- General urological problems ranging from infection to stone disease
- Male reproductive medicine / Laboratory for Male Reproductive Research and Testing
- Neurourology / voiding disorders (female urology)
- Pediatric urology
- Sexual wellness
- Specialty training in techniques of reconstructive surgery or minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgical techniques

Treatment Facilities
Adult patients are evaluated and treated at Baylor Clinic. Dr. Larry I. Lipshultz sees patients at O’Quinn Medical Tower at St. Luke’s. Pediatric patients are seen at the Surgical Urologic Clinic located in the Texas Children's Hospital Clinical Care Center as well as in clinics in outlying areas.
When hospitalization is necessary, department physicians admit their patients to The Methodist Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital, and the DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
