The Office of Diversity and Community Outreach at Baylor College of Medicine is committed to improving the cultural diversity of this institution that we may be thoroughly effective and thrive in our patient care, research, education, and community service initiatives by maintaining the status that BCM has as one of the leading schools in the enrollment of students underrepresented in medicine.
Mission
With the philosophy that the entire environment of the school must be addressed to effectively increase and maintain the presence of underrepresented (URM) in the student body at Baylor College of Medicine.
The Office of Diversity and Community Outreach interacts with faculty, administrative staff, and community leaders to provide students, at the high school and college level, desirous of becoming physicians, with a variety of educational events, programs, and community activities to assure the best minds of today become part of the best medicine of tomorrow here at Baylor College of Medicine.
