Breast Center Advisory Council Funds Imaging Fellow
The Breast Cancer Advisory Council of the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center at Baylor College of Medicine has donated $55,000 toward an estimated $80,000 needed to support a fellow in breast imaging.
The fellow will become proficient in the interpretation of mammography, sonography and breast MRI as well as the performance of breast-related procedures like breast biopsies.
"Supporting the efforts of the Lester and Sue Smith Breast Center is a pleasure and a passion for the Breast Center Advisory Council," said Advisory Council Chair Rebecca Rush. "Our fundraisers, Pink Ribbon House and Stiletto Strut, not only serve to raise cancer awareness but also present a wonderful opportunity to put the efforts of our community to work."
