Alumnus Named White House Fellow

Patrick Conway, M.D., Class of 2002, has been named a White House Fellow for 2007-2008. The White House Fellows Program annually offers 15 young professionals first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the federal government. Fellows participate in roundtable discussions with leaders from the private and public sectors and take study trips to examine U.S. policy in action.

Conway is an Assistant Professor in the Center for Health Care Quality and Division of General Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He was a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar and completed a Master's in Health Services Research at the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his pediatrics residency at Harvard Medical School's Children's Hospital in Boston. He is one of two pediatricians on the Society of Hospital Medicine Research Committee helping to guide the nation's inpatient research agenda. He has done medical volunteer work in multiple countries including Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Bolivia and Ghana. Conway plans to continue to lead research programs and initiatives that improve the quality of care delivered to the nation's children.
