Nobel winner Dr. Andre Cournand, the first to use cardiac catheterizations clinically, whose entry, a 1980 handwritten note to a colleague on which scientist— Einstein or Planck—is the all-time greatest scientist, concludes with words of encouragement, "Keep curious but do not forget that heuristic vision and passion are the trademarks of the scientist."
