- Memo of understanding signed to strengthen
affiliation between Baylor and St. Luke’s
Episcopal Hospital

- St. Luke’s agrees to allow Baylor to use existing SLEH property at
6620 Main for initial phase of new adult ambulatory care clinic

- New affiliation agreement signed by Baylor and St. Luke’s
May 2004
- Baylor Board of Trustees gives full support to creation of an adult
ambulatory care clinic in two phases
June 2004
- Space planning efforts begin for Phase I of the AACC at 6620 Main

- User groups meet with architectural consultant HOK to determine
space usage at 6620 Main

- Physician Steering Committee, Users Groups on specific operating
and space issues, and IT Advisory Group established

- Renee Miles named as Executive Director of Ambulatory
Operations and Bernice Joseph selected as Executive Director of
Clinical Strategy

- Preliminary planning begins for Phase II of Baylor Clinic at
6600 Main
- Dr. Jeffrey Steinbauer named as Medical Director of Baylor Clinic

- Baylor Clinic chosen as name for AACC

- St. Luke’s vacates floors 11-14
of 6620 Main. Baylor begins construction of Phase I for
Baylor Clinic
