Jamal M. Bullocks, M.D., is an assistant professor in the plastic surgery division of the Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Bullocks has special interest in plastic surgery for ethnic groups, working with patients with different skin textures, pigmentation and facial features to improve their appearance while retaining their unique characteristics.
After graduating with honors from Georgetown University, Dr. Bullocks earned his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) cum laude. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in plastic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He also has extensive research experience in breast oncology and head and neck oncology at the Lombardi Cancer Center at Georgetown University.
Dr. Bullocks is a well-published author, a frequent presenter on cosmetic and reconstructive techniques, and a busy researcher, serving as the principal investigator or co-investigator on numerous plastic surgery research projects. He is also a highly regarded educator, recognized frequently over the years for his outstanding teaching skills.
Dr. Bullocks' professional memberships include the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Association for Cancer Research. He is the Director of the Residents' Aesthetic Clinic at Baylor College of Medicine.
