Research Interests:
- Preventive health care, especially in regard to physician and paramedical personnel knowledge as to the timely, appropriate, and safe administration of childhood vaccines
- Pursuing optimal approaches to teaching professionalism and appropriate interactive communication skills to medical students and physicians
- Providing the best outpatient teaching possible for pediatric residents in primary care settings
Current Research & Funding:
- Local Principal Investigator for a national clinical research project (part of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Pediatric Research in Office Settings effort) to determine normal age range for the development of secondary sexual characteristics in males.
- Co-Principal Investigator for a study supporting the refinement and dissemination of educational methods designed to help physicians/other health care professionals to reason their way through complex patient-centered clinical encounters.
