Leadership Education in Adolescent Health
Defining LEAH
The Leadership Education in Adolescent Health training program is a specialized training program in adolescent health care. The program focuses on an interdisciplinary team approach to healthcare. The members of the team include faculty and fellows in medicine, nursing, nutrition, psychology, public health, and social work. The Adolescent Medicine and Sports Medicine Section of Baylor College of Medicine is based at Texas Children’s Hospital. This program stresses excellence in adolescent health and finding ways to meet the healthcare needs of adolescents. The LEAH program is funded by a grant from the Maternal Child Health Bureau under Title V. (www.mchlibrary.info/pubs/PDFs/spr/fsadolescent.pdf)*
