New CMV Vaccine Study Opportunity

This study is evaluating a new CMV vaccine that may be used to prevent CMV infection in teenage girls.

The first step is to have a simple blood test to screen your blood for the presence of CMV antibodies. This test will determine if you have ever had CMV, and will determine if you can go on to the next step of the study.

The second step of the study is the actual testing of the CMV vaccine. If you are eligible, then the second study will be explained to you in detail, and you will be offered the opportunity to be part of a very important clinical trial that brings us closer to a safe and effective CMV vaccine and prevention of congenital CMV disease.

You may contact us, or Dr. Flor Munoz, the director of our CMV vaccine study in Houston, with any questions or concerns you may have about participating in this study.

See attached vaccine flyer (PDF) for contact and addtional information about the study.
