Center for Clinical Effectiveness
Our Mission
To improve the quality of care delivered to children within the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Pediatrics and Texas Children’s Hospital Integrated Delivery System.
Objectives:
- Generate new medical knowledge through health services research
- Support educational activities in quality improvement and evidence based practice for providers within the Texas Children's Hospital Integrated Delivery system and the community
- Improve access to care by supporting collaborations and quality improvement initiatives within the Texas Children's Hospital Integrated Delivery system
- Stimulate development and support the activities of Pediatric Centers of Excellence
- Integrate best evidence into practice and disseminate best practices to replicate existing and encourage new clinical effectiveness initiatives
- Support legislative initiatives in the state that affect quality in child healthcare, and strive to ensure that the best evidence is available to policymakers at all levels: local, state and national
- Support activities of the Evidence Based Outcomes Center at Texas Children's Hospital designed to promote scientific inquiry, evidence-based practice (EBP) and quality nursing outcomes
