PEDIATRIC GRAND ROUNDS

Day/Time/Location: Fridays, 8:30 a.m., Texas Children's Hospital (lower level Auditorium unless otherwise listed).

Objectives:
At the conclusion of the activities, the participants should be able to:

  • Define and/or describe the disease, sign, symptom or condition that was discussed (""the entity"")
  • Recognize this entity when seen in his or her own practice
  • List and discuss the diagnostic and therapeutic options for this entity
  • Select the most appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic options when managing a patient with this entity
  • List and recommend any preventive measures that might avoid this entity or lessen its severity

Target Audience, Needs, Educational Methods, Activity Evaluation: Physicians, residents, and fellows need to be regularly updated on advances in the field of general pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties. Educational methods will include lectures and question & answer sessions. Participants will be asked to complete an activity evaluation.

Accreditation/Credit Designation:
Baylor College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Baylor College of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
