PEDIATRIC GRAND ROUNDS

Day/Time/Location: Fridays, 8:30 a.m., Texas Children's Hospital (lower level Auditorium unless otherwise listed).

Objectives:
At the conclusion of the activities, the participants should be able to:

Define and/or describe the disease, sign, symptom or condition that was discussed (""the entity"")
Recognize this entity when seen in his or her own practice
List and discuss the diagnostic and therapeutic options for this entity
Select the most appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic options when managing a patient with this entity
List and recommend any preventive measures that might avoid this entity or lessen its severity

Target Audience, Needs, Educational Methods, Activity Evaluation: Physicians, residents, and fellows need to be regularly updated on advances in the field of general pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties. Educational methods will include lectures and question & answer sessions. Participants will be asked to complete an activity evaluation.

Accreditation/Credit Designation: Texas Children's Hospital is accredited by the Texas Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Texas Children's Hospital designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) ^TM toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.
