BCM Postdoctoral Association

The Baylor College of Medicine Postdoctoral Association was formed in the summer of 1997 by a gathering of postdoctoral fellows who felt there was no forum available at the College to address issues specific to postdoctoral trainees. BCM Postdoctoral Association represents approximately 600 postdoctoral scientists at Baylor College of Medicine. The PDA provides a collective voice to the postdoctoral scientists at BCM and provides communication between College administration, faculty mentors, and an expanding postdoctoral scholar's population.

The PDA serves as a resource where postdocs can:

  • Receive information on career development opportunities currently available through the College
  • Obtain written policies concerning health care, employment, and parking
  • Gain a sense of community for all postdoctoral fellows

Get Involved - Join the BCM Postdoctoral Association!

  • The PDA invites you to become part of the association and take an active role in addressing the various issues that concern the post-doctoral community. Membership in the PDA is voluntary and free.
  • The PDA Executive Committee meets bimonthly- usually held the first Thursday every other month at 9:30 a.m. in Alkek - N204H. E-mail Raj Ramakrishnan at ramakris@bcm.edu if you would like more information on the next meeting.
