| Welcome to the Baylor College of Medicine
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Resident Applicant website. |
| It is our intent to use the Internet, rather
than brochures, to keep interested medical students updated
with the latest information about our program. All graduates
of U.S. accredited medical or osteopathic schools, along with
ECFMG approved foreign medical schools are invited to apply.
Applications are accepted only through the Electronic Residency
Application Service (ERAS). The system normally opens in mid
to late August, and we begin downloading files immediately.
Our deadline for all paperwork is November 15. |
A file is printed and sent to our Interview Committee as soon as
it contains:

A note on recommendation letters: our program
requires a minimum of four in total: Dean's Letter, Chairman's Letter
and at least two others. If a candidate is invited for an interview,
those documents must be in place before the interview.
All applicants will be contacted with the committee's decision,
by email, which normally takes one week after the file is made "active."
Those applicants being invited to interview will also be contacted
by phone. Our dates for the upcoming interview season are:
November 17 & 18, 2007 Friday/Saturday
November 30 & December 1, 2007 Friday/Saturday
January 4 & 5, 2008 Friday/Saturday
Interviews are booked on a first come, first serve basis. Approximately
20 applicants are interviewed per day.
We will host a happy hour with applicants and current residents. All
applicants are expected to attend. Foreign Medical Graduates
