Texas Children's Fetal Center

As one of the nation's leaders in the diagnosis and treatment of abnormalities in unborn and newborn infants, Texas Children's Fetal Center is committed to providing the best possible care and outcome for each mother, baby and family. We provide comprehensive care to meet the needs of pregnant women, fetuses, and newborns. Complex birth defects, which affect about three percent of newborns, are the leading cause of death and illness in babies’ first year of life. Preventing or lessening such incidents of birth defects is the goal of physicians at the Texas Children's Fetal Center.

Fetal intervention, including fetal surgery, are performed in the state-of-the-art operating facilities at Texas Children’s Hospital, immediately adjacent both to the full-service obstetrical unit of St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and to Texas Children’s 76-bed Level III neonatal intensive care unit.

Texas Children's Fetal Center is a member of the North American Fetal Therapy Network (NAFTNet).
