The Office of Public Affairs promotes the College through its specialized groups:
Media Relations & Communications
Media Relations & Communications serves as the initial contact for reporters, producers and other media representatives seeking information about Baylor College of Medicine or wishing to interview faculty/staff experts. This group functions as the College's news bureau, serving as the primary source of information about the institution, its people and its programs.

Web Management
The Institutional Web Management team is responsible for various services relating to the Baylor College of Medicine web site.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Development and maintenance of the Baylor home page, corporate-level pages and Office of Public Affairs web sites
- Content review of internal and public pages
- Ensuring compliance with College branding and style standards throughout the entire web
- Providing guidance and assistance to departments, labs, programs, etc., in the creation of their public web presence
- Special projects as deemed by the Vice President of Public Affairs
- Working with IT Applications Services Web Operations as part of the overall web team
- Image gallery for use by BCM web developers and maintainers

Creative Services
Creative Services serves as a comprehensive, in-house resource for printed materials, graphic arts and photography.
The office oversees the design and productions of hundreds of printed pieces ranging from invitations to brochures and newsletters. Staff also designs and produces a variety of other items including:
- scientific poster exhibits/titles
- graphs/charts
- presentation slides
