Experts say relax, but have safe Spring Break
HOUSTON -- (February 27, 2009) --
For at least one week during March, students flock to popular destinations to celebrate "Spring Break." Whether heading to South Padre Island, Galveston, Daytona Beach or Mexico, it is important to remember that fun in the sun brings its share of dangers.
For sun worshipers, Baylor College of Medicine doctors offer information on protecting an often forgotten part of the body – the scalp – and on a treatment available for some people who are already experiencing sun damage.
BCM experts also have tips for parents whose children are ready to head off on their own for spring break.
