will be processed through the Electronic
Residency Application Service (ERAS) from the American
Medical Colleges (AAMC). Therefore, no Universal or other application
will be accepted.
Graduates
from United States medical schools should contact the Student Affairs
Office at their medical schools to apply through the ERAS 2001 program.
International
Graduates should contact Educational
Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) for distribution
and process of SWS kits for students and graduates of foreign medical
schools. Baylor College of Medicine requires international medical
graduates to meet the requirements for a Physician In Training permit
as outlined by the Texas
State Board of Medical Examiners and the documents necessary
for a J-1 Visa.
All
application material must be received in the Academic Office of
the Department of Orthopedic Surgery by November 1st.
Requirements
for Orthopedic Residency Applications through ERAS include:

ERAS application with a recent photograph
2. Current CV
3. Personal Statement
4. Dean's letter and transcript
5. USMLE Board Scores
6. Three letters of recommendation from faculty members
7. All application materials must be received by November 1st.
8 . International medical graduates must meet the requirements established
by the Graduate Medical Education at Baylor College of Medicine
and the Immigration Services
9 . Valid ECFMG certificate
