Research Team
Currently there are six investigators (MD or Ph.D., or both) involved in basic research of PD and other movement disorders. Their major tasks are searching for novel genes responsible for PD, studying gene-gene and gene-environmental interaction, defining the role of iron in protein aggregation associated with ubiquitin-proteasome impairment, searching for biomarkers for aiding at early diagnosis of PD, finding novel therapeutic targets to protect dopamine neuron degeneration in PD, and conducting the test of neuronal stem cells in animal model of PD.
