Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Neurology Fellowship

Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Neurology is the study of all forms of impairment of thinking, behavior, and social interaction. It involves study of patients whose disorders include both neurologic and psychiatric manifestations. Fellows in this program can have a neurologic or psychiatric residency background and will work with faculty from both Departments at Baylor. The Fellowship is 2 years in duration. It includes about 50% research time and 50% patient time in which fellows see and learn about patients with behavioral and cognitive disorders. Fellows see patients at three hospitals, which have a broad diversity of patients. Fellows attend and present at weekly case conferences, where interesting patients are presented, and weekly research conferences where ongoing projects from the cellular to the clinical research level are discussed. The Fellowship has Texas accreditation and UCNS accreditation is pending.
