Some Useful Web
Links and Link Lists
National Center for Biotechnology
Information (NCBI)
Good place to start to find out just about anything from
sequence BLAST, through UNIGENE, and PubMED.
European Bioinformatics Institute
(EBI)
The European Bioinformatics Institute (EBI) is a
centre for research and services in bioinformatics. The Institute
manages databases of biological data including nucleic acid, protein
sequences and macromolecular structures.
Molecular Biology
Computational Resource (MBCR)
MBCR provides computational support for molecular
biology research at Baylor College of Medicine. If you are affiliated
with Baylor you should know this facility and you will find use
in tools offered there. In addition, there are many links to web-based
biology tools.
Baylor
College of Medicine - Search Launcher
The Baylor College of Medicine Search Launcher is
an on-going project to organize molecular biology-related search
and analysis services available on the WWW by function by providing
a single point-of-entry for related searches (e.g., a single page
for launching protein sequence searches using standard parameters).
These pages are supported through the Human
Genome Sequencing Center.
