Services
Full-Service $250/Day
Description:
For the busy researcher we recomend this service which
includes RNA labeling by dye-nucleotide, hybridization, scanning
and quantitation. A minimum of 10 ug total RNA or 1 ug polyA RNA
is required. In either case, for best results the RNA should be
quality controlled through RNA quantitaiton and gel electrophoresis.
Scanning $20/slide
Description:
We will scan any slide in up to four fluorophores (see
scanner specs) and up to 5 micron resolution. The slides must be
standard sized microscope slides (either metric 25mm x 75 mm or
English 1.0" x 3.0" and 1 mm thick). Data will be provided
as uncompressed tagged image file format (TIFF). Optionally, files
can be compressed to JPEG or GIF for viewing purposes.
Quantitation $25/slide
Description:
Microarray images are quantitated using GSI Lumonics Quantarray
or Nu-Tec Gleams software. Data is provided as a raw flat file.
Standard Microarray Core Facility slides will also be provided with
Microsoft Excel templates. Templates for custom arrays are available
upon request.
Training $60/hour
Description:
Want to learn the basics of using microarrays, then sign
up for a training session. These private sessions can cover labeling,
hybridization, quantitation and analysis. For more information see
our contact list.
Custom Arrays $20
Description:
Perhaps you have a set of cDNA clones, genomic samples,
BAC clones, oligonucleotides or other DNA materials that you would
like to print onto microscope slides. The Microarray Core Facility
can print up to 6,000 elements in duplicate onto plain microscope
slides or a few thousand elements onto membrane-coated microscope
slides. The MCF can assist in the design, preparation and analysis
of custom microarrays whether for gene expression, genotyping, comparative
genomic hybridization and more. Scanning services and custom analysis
are also available. Custom arrays may also be design from existing
clone sets.
