Available Microarrays Description:
We have obtained from Incyte a set of 8700 sequence-verified clones from the Mouse GEM 1 set containing cDNA fragments from the mouse genome. The average insert size is 1500 bp. Presently 2500 clones contain fragments of known genes. This array contains the entire set printed in duplicate on a single glass microscope slide. The 9K Array contains genes from the above set as well as 1152 genes from the BMAP Brain clone set. The array contains multiple controls including three control targets from Saccharomyces cerevisiae and 9 mouse "housekeeping genes." Control yeast RNA is available.

The Mouse QC (Quality Control) Array is a good starter array for labs beginning array experiments. It constists of a 5x5 array of 25 genes replicated 32 times on the chip. The targets represent genes that have shown high expression on past arrays and can give the investigator(s) a good idea if they have successfully labeled and hybridized their samples to the array.

The 9K Array contains 7296 genes from the above set as well as 1536 genes from the Human cDNA Seqence Verified set. The array contains multiple controls including three control targets from Saccharomyces cerevisiae and 9 human "housekeeping genes." Control yeast RNA is available.

This array represents a collection of 7700 cDNA and genomic clones of Dictyostelium Discoideum genes. Each target is arrayed in duplicate on a single glass microscope slide. The set is partially characterized with ??? known genes and ??? ESTs. The array contains multiple controls including three "housekeeping genes" and a ribosomal RNA message target. Ribosomal primer for reverse transcription is available.

Perhaps you have a set of cDNA clones, genomic samples, BAC clones, oligonucleotides or other DNA materials that you would like to print onto microscope slides. The Microarray Core Facility can print up to 6,000 elements in duplicate onto plain microscope slides or a few thousand elements onto membrane-coated microscope slides. The MCF can assist in the design, preparation and analysis of custom microarrays whether for gene expression, genotyping, comparative genomic hybridization and more. Scanning services and custom analysis are also available. Custom arrays may also be design from existing clone sets. We recommend purified DNA with a concentration of at least 50 ng/uL or 50 uM for oligonucleotides. |
