Opportunities available for international research training program

The AAMC is seeking applicants for an international clinical research training fellowship for graduate level health professions students. The program is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) Fogarty International Center, in partnership with the Ellison Medical Foundation. The AAMC and the Association of Schools of Public Health manage the program. The one-year program provides students with mentored research training at top-ranked, NIH-funded research centers in a diverse group of countries. Applications are due Dec. 8.

The Lancet Global Health Network

Welcome to The Lancet Global Health Network. As a leading independent journal of global medicine, The Lancet is committed to advancing health for all people around the world. Supercourse: Epidemiology, the Internet and Global Health

Supercourse is a global repository of lectures on public health and prevention targeting educators across the world. Supercourse has a network of over 42500 scientists in 174 countries who are sharing for free a library of over 3232 lectures in 26 languages. The concept of the Supercourse and its lecture style has been described as the Global Health Network University and the Hypertext Comic Books .

CDC Foundation

CDC, in collaboration with the CDC Foundation, announces that the O.C. Hubert Student Fellowship in International Health for 200 7  –200 8 is now accepting applications (deadline, May 1 5  , 200 7  ). This fellowship , endowed by the O.C Hubert Charitable Trust,  provides an excellent opportunity for third- and fourth-year medical and veterinary students to gain public health experience in an international setting.

Fellows spend 4–12 weeks in a developing country working alongside CDC staff on priority health problems. As many as seven fellows will be selected from eligible applicants. Fellows receive a $3,000 stipend (total) to cover travel and related fellowship expenses.

Applications must be postmarked no later than May 15, 2007, and selections will be announced by June 15, 2007.
