Transcript: I think when people are concerned about living in Houston, they haven't actually experienced living here. Houston is not a great tourist city so when you come to visit, even if it's just an interview weekend, even when we show you around the medical center, you don't really get a feeling for what it's like to live in this city. It's hard to articulate without actually having the opportunity to live here. Houston is a lot of fun, it's very cheap to live in, the restaurants are great, there's a lot to do, there's a good night life and, again, you're in a city where everybody knows what Baylor is and everybody knows about the medical center, and that's always helpful when trying to acclimate to a new city.

There's always something to do, there's a ton of museums, just within a metro ride of the medical center, which is where most of the medical students live. Most of the time there's one day a week you can go for free and it's nice to step outside of the medical arena and experience the arts and culture that the city has to offer.
