Medical School
Baylor College of Medicine is committed to the development of compassionate physicians who are not only trained to exhibit high ethical standards and technical competence, but are dedicated to delivering quality care to all people.
We hope to inspire student physicians to become leaders in their fields, to provide the knowledge base for new treatment strategies, and to develop new approaches to the delivery of health services, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
Our program is structured so that in addition to basic concepts, our students:
- Can develop and pursue their own interest in great depth
- Seek additional training in the basic or clinical sciences
- Participate in advanced degree programs such as the M.D./Ph.D. programs
- Conduct research
- Enroll in pre-doctoral fellowship programs
Our graduates will be prepared to pursue careers as primary care physicians, specialists, research scientists, academic physicians and physicians involved in public health policy.
