Marc grew up close to the Appalachian mountains of
North Carolina where his love of snow-skiing,
mountain-biking, and running began. He received his
undergraduate degree in the high-country at
Appalachian State University and, later, a graduate
degree in immunology from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed medical school
at East Carolina University. While there, he took a
year off to serve as a medical missionary in Costa
Rica. During that time and into his fourth year of
medical school, his love of missions and travel took
him to other countries, including Guatemala, Honduras,
Kenya, and Uganda. Marc looks forward to a career in
adult congenital/pediatric cardiology. |
