chen@hotmail.com Jennifer was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma and grew up in the metropolis of Ruston, Louisiana. Following in the footsteps of Carl Malone and PJ Brown (who played basketball for Louisiana Tech in Ruston), Jennifer was a standout point guard for the Ruston High School Bearcats. She took her talents onto the Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts in Natchitoches, LA. Though not as athletically talented as the Bearcats, the Lady Eagles dominated the other “nerd schools” of the South, including Mississippi and Arkansas, and Jennifer finely honed her unique skill of dribbling the basketball with her knees. At Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, her hoop dreams were relegated to lower priority as Organic Chemistry Lab, at first only one afternoon per week, gradually consumed all day, every day. Unable to tolerate the experiments gone awry, the insufferable cold, and the constant losses of the football team, Jennifer returned to Louisiana where she enjoyed four years of medical school at LSU in New Orleans.
