Amber was born and raised in Woodland Park, Colorado on a rustic mountain countryside. Amber went to College at the California Polytechnic State University before going on to the Universtiy of Utah to complete her Masters in Chemistry. While there she enjoyed skiing, mountain biking, and country dancing but soon realized that research was not her passion. She decided to pursue a degree in medicine at Ohio State University. She became an active member in the AMA serving as a lobbyist. Amber's career choices led her to Baylor College of Medicine Med-Peds Residency Program. Amber has been selected to serve as the Med-Peds third year chief resident for 2004-2005. She plans to pursue a combined nephrology fellowship after graduation. In addition to dancing (salsa and country), she enjoys baking chocolate chip cranberry cookies for the continuity clinic (which everyone else enjoys as well!!).
