Amy was born and raised in New Jersey. Growing up, her life as a youngster was focused on competitive ballet dancing. Unfortunately, tendonitis in her ankles forced an early retirement, after which time she concentrated on her career in Medicine. She received her Biology and Spanish degree from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey and completed her MD at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She spends most of her free time dancing. Her future plans involve service with the US Air Force and a Combined Infectious Disease Fellowship.
