Forbidden Gardens - is an outdoor museum designed to educate visitors about the history, culture and landmarks of China. The garden setting with lakeside walks and magnificent miniaturized exhibits offers the harmony and tranquility that is the heart of Chinese philosophy. Lillie and Hugh Roy Cullen Sculpture Garden - created by Isamu Noguchi is located between the Museum of Fine Arts and the Glassell School. It features works by such masters as Giacometti, Matisse, and Rodin.

Moody Gardens - A 10-story glass pyramid holds a living rainforest, exotic plants, butterflies, fish and birds. The garden features acres of lush gardens One Hope Blvd., Galveston (409-744-4673).

Sam Houston Park- The Harris County Heritage Society has restored and furnished seven early Houston homes and a church, and has reconstructed the historic Long Row Building with its general store, barbershop, and first Houston lending library.
The San Jacinto Museum of History- is adjacent to the Battleship Texas at San Jacinto State Park, offers a wealth of historical
Texas artifacts and documents.
Space Center Houston -a state-of-the art, $70-million, Disney-designed visitors center for Johnson Space Center.
Water Wall -
Post Oak Boulevard at Hidalgo, next to the Transco Tower and the Galleria. If you are in the neighborhood of the Galleria, consider stopping by the Water Wall. Thousands of gallons/minute of water cascade down both sides this 64-foot high, semicircular wall fountain.
