Mark was born
in New Jersey and spent most of his growing up years in California
but also has strong ties to England where most of his extended family
is and where he spent a part of his formative years growing up.
He graduated from the University of California with degrees in Classics
and Biochemistry. Before beginning medical school he spent a year
in Boston conducting research in genetics and molecular biology,
taught organic chemistry for a year at Berkeley, and another year
farming apples in Washington State. He enjoys playing sports, particularly
team sports like soccer, football, and ultimate Frisbee. If you
can’t find him, he’s probably outside the country. He
has traveled through Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos
Islands, Africa and often visits Europe.
His next stop will be his return to California as he moves on to a career in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
